allthingsraffia - the story

allthingsraffia  is owned and run by Claire Richards who has been working with raffia since the early 1990s when she was taught by a visiting Australian.  With allthingsraffia Claire travels to several events across UK, to run workshops at various venues and also to run private workshops on request.  Since the early days of running workshops, and allowing for a few years off to bring up her son, Claire has taught over 200 people how to make their own hat or bag and her enthusiasm for all things raffia has not diminished.  Claire is also the author of Raffia previously published by The Crowood Press.  

 

Claire's mission is to make raffia craft accessible and fun through teaching, making and selling, and to help people create and buy beautiful, sustainable and vegan accessories and homeware.
